Sometimes, it’s easy to think we’ve seen it all around here and that Casper can’t still surprise us. So, just to prove that crazy idea wrong, I’ve compiled this short list of amazing and unique photos of some of the places we all love most.
Casper, I have to tell you something.
You. are. AMAZING.
The only thing us locals might love more than Casper’s mountain, river and wide-open spaces is exploring them with our furry friends. And when you stop and think about it, it’s pretty amazing the places we have right in our backyard to roam with our dogs. So, I made a simple request, Casper. I asked to see your dogs. And you freakin’ delivered.
Other than a few years at UW in Laramie, my entire life has been spent in Casper. If you would have asked me in high school whether I would still be living here at 30 I would have quickly replied, “No way!” As most of the youth in our city probably do, I spent much of my adolescent years complaining about how boring Casper is and how there is never anything to do. I often fantasized about where I would end up once I had the ability to move on to bigger and better things. Colorado? Virginia? Maybe I could even take a shot at living in another country!
I have a confession. I like the sunshine, the lake, hiking the Bridle Trail, going to baseball games and all other things “summer” here in Casper. But I love patio season.
I freakin’ love Casper.
When we told our family and friends we were moving here, they didn’t believe us. After all, why would they? We had never even been to Wyoming before. But here we were, saying goodbye to our life in the Army, accepting a job offer, loading up our trailer and heading out West.
Casper. You know I love you. But I did not sign up for THIS:
