5150’ Restaurant Week: 101

Man oh man are your bellies about to be full all week long because 5150’ Restaurant Week has officially begun.

You have until January 25th to take advantage of all the Casper-themed deals that are going on at more than 30 restaurants city-wide, and we’re here to walk you through some of the best deals of the week.

If you’re anything like us, decision making can be hard, especially when it comes to food. How many times have you been asked, “what do you want to eat or drink?” and your answer is, “uhm, I don’t know”.

Well, with multiple coffee shops, restaurants, bakeries and breweries participating, that question is about to get even harder.

So whether you’re looking for somewhere to grab a coffee, get lunch, take that special someone to dinner, go out for a night cap or satisfy your sweet tooth, here are some of the best spots to go this week.

Coffee: Grant Street Grocery & Market is the place to go to kick-start your mornings. For the $3.07 special, you get a Cowboy Cortado, which in their words has, “enough caffeine to knock you off your horse but with a touch of sugar for the extra ‘kick’ to get ya down the trail”.

If only they had that every Monday morning…

Metro Coffee Company and Scarlow’s Art & Coffee are also both great tasting coffee shops that are participating this week. Grab a flavored latte from which ever one you prefer for $3.07, or one of their branded to-go cups for the $18.90 special.

Lunch: Johnny J’s Diner has a great $18.90 lunch special that includes two hamburger deluxes with two soft drinks, or if you make it early enough for brunch you can get any two breakfast combos (french toast, waffle or pancake combo) with two cups of coffee. After your meal, indulge yourself with a cinnamon roll (which are arguably one of the best cinnamon rolls in town) or a piece of their fresh fruit pie and a beverage of choice for $3.07.

My mouth is watering just thinking about that cinnamon roll.

If you’re in the mood for a fresh sandwich from a local favorite, Grab & Go Gourmet is serving any two sandwiches with two bags of chips and two desserts for $18.90.

HQ BBQ is also a great option for lunch and a drink. Get a pound of brisket and 2 pints of their sides for $18.90 and a 24oz local draft beer for $3.07.

Excuse me while I break for lunch, I just can’t help myself…

Dinner: With so many great dinner specials going on, this will almost certainly be the toughest decision you have to make all week.

We’ll try to help you as much as we can, but don’t blame us if you end up wanting to try everything because it all sounds so amazing.

If you have a family or are going out as a group, the Gaslight Social is doing a great $51.50 special. Get 4 entrees, 4 sodas and a $15 game card so that you can eat and play a few games with your family or friends. They also are serving ALL Wyoming beers for $3.07.

For anyone looking to take advantage of these specials for the perfect date night, try either…

Remington’s Steakhouse & Spirits Lounge, which has a delicious $51.50 special which includes a ribeye steak dinner for two served with choice of potato, sautéed vegetables and soup or side salad along with your choice of bottle of house wine.

Racca’s Pizzeria, because there’s nothing like taking that special someone out for a 4 course meal. Share either the meatball sliders or spin dip appetizer, a house salad, get 2 entrees: a 9’ specialty pizza or stuffed shells, share a dessert and you each get your choice of either a house wine or draft beer.

Beer and Cocktails: No surprise here: Backwards Distilling Company is the place to go for a cocktail during restaurant week. Once you finish up with a delicious dinner at one of the participating restaurants, stop into Backwards and enjoy a punch cup of Dr. Foster’s Magic Circus (a Chai infused 307 Vodka and Cranberry cocktail) for $3.07.

If you’re looking to taste some of Casper’s best craft beer with your friends for $3.07, head over to Gruner Brothers Brewing for a pint of their popular Ben Light, Frontier Brewing Company for a staff-poured pint of any Frontier-brewed beer, or to Urban Bottle Wine & Spirits for any of their draft beers, on-tap wines or house made cocktails.

Dessert: Imagine having to walk past Frosted Tops every day, smell their delicious pastries and then try not to go in and buy the entire shop out of cupcakes.

Trust me, it’s hard.

But now that it’s restaurant week, it’s time to give into those cravings.

Stop into Frosted Tops and get yourself a sweet treat of your choice with a coffee or hot cocoa for $3.07. Or, prepare for Super Bowl Sunday and get two and a half dozen cupcakes (that’s 30 cupcakes!!!) for $51.50.

We understand that there’s a lot of options to choose from, so we don’t blame you if can’t make up your mind.

If we’re being honest, this blog really wasn’t meant to help you decide on just one, anyways. 😉
