The Ultimate Guide to Getting Drunk on Patios in Casper. (And eating, too)

I have a confession. I like the sunshine, the lake, hiking the Bridle Trail, going to baseball games and all other things “summer” here in Casper. But I love patio season.

If enjoying your favorite adult beverage or a tasty meal outside isn’t one of your favorite parts of the summer… you’re just lying. And if you’re not lying, maybe you just haven’t found just the right restaurant patio yet.

Luckily, I’ve done the *tough* research of rounding up the best of the best when it comes to restaurants and bars that have outdoor seating around town.

Wyoming Ale Works
This little hidden gem has been just under my nose since Wyoming Ale Works opened up a few years ago. Man, I’ve been missing out. The patio at Wyoming Ale works is beautiful, cozy and has one of the very best views in town. Plus, the food and beer selection is top-notch. And honestly, where else can you find a Bacon PB&J burger?

The Office
The Office has one of the best happy hours around and the patio is straight up fun. It feels lively and is the perfect place to catch up with a friend. They also have a huge small plates menu to sustain your patio drinking.theoffice.PNG

Vintage Fine Wine & Martini Bar
For what this patio lacks in size it makes up for in one-of-a-kind selection. With only a few tables, its cozy and intimate, even outside. But the drink selection is truly amazing. They do bourbon flights, people.

Raccas Pizzeria Napoletana
Nutella bites can be eaten any time, any place, for any reason. But the soft lights of Racca’s patio make them even better— if that’s even possible. And, if you’re really lucky and strategic, you can snag a seat on the first Thrusday of each month and watch downtown come alive during Art Walk.raccas

FireRock Steakhouse
This one doesn’t take much explanation… I mean, it’s FireRock. It’s definitely one of the best patios in town. This is the place that I think of when I think of going out to eat in the summer. FireRock patio pro tip: try their Grilled Shrimp and Strawberry Salad. 😍 It takes the summer feeling to the next level.

Keg & Cork
If you ask me, Keg & Cork’s patio feels like a Wyoming summer with big sky views in all directions. It’s also one of the few patios in town that isn’t in a parking lot, which is a perk. (Seriously, what’s the deal with that!?) But what puts Keg & Cork on my patio short list is their live music. They’re regularly bringing in solid and unique live music that’s worth the cover charge.

Branding Iron
This is a sneaky little patio. At first glance, I would never even guess this downtown gem would have a patio. But you guys, it’s adorable. Tucked in behind the restaurant, but not quite in the alley. Branding Iron is also one of my faves because they source some of their beef and pork from Wyoming and use local spirits in a lot of their drinks. I’m a sucker for their Contortionist Gin Mule (or any drink with Backwards Contortionist Gin, let’s be honest).

Needless to say, there’s no shortage of truly great outdoor options here in the Oil City. And patio season is short around here, folks. Enjoy it while you can!
